Time to Let Whiterock Die?

This is actually something I've been deliberating for a while now, a month or two at least. The thing is, people's interest in the game seems to be fading (and yeah, I'm talking about my own here, as well; it hardly seems worth it when one person ends up in a threadfall round).
Even though there are people who are still interested, there's only maybe four people participating on a regular basis, and less than that in threadfalls. I was hoping it would pick up once it moved to the forum, but nobody's joined, and I don't know where else to advertise. Now it's gotten to the point where I'm wondering whether it's even worth keeping it open any more.
So, unless I get some compelling ideas, is it time to close Whiterock Weyr?

Well, I for one would rather it not die, but I guess since you're the one running it, if you're truly getting sick of doing so then it's your call.

Just checking though, are you saying then that if we were able to get more players into it you'd be willing to keep it going? Or is it more that you are just petered out with it regardless?

The biggest problem is that there simply aren't enough people to fill the clutches and threadfalls; so yeah, if new people started showing up, I'd go ahead and keep it open. It's getting the word out, so to speak, that's the tricky part.

I'm going to put the word out on a couple of the forums I frequent and see if there is any more interest to be had. I love this, and since it's moved to the forums it's been easier to keep up with. It's like a role-play I don't have to invest hours a day (that I don't have anymore) into. I don't want to see it die.

I too would be sad to see the game die! I got behind the past few weeks what with having houseguests and all, and I know I'll probably miss at least a week of stuffs around Christmas, but still I like it!!

But if you're tired of running it, then don't let us force you to drag on something you don't find fun. After all, you're the one doing the bulk of the work!

I'm gonna keep it open for another clutch or two and see if we can get some new people to join, so if you know anyplace that allows advertising, please let me know, or post a link yourself.

Well, once again it looks like there hasn't been any interest in Whiterock at all. So at this point, I think I'm just going to shut it down. Thanks to those people who are still interested, but I really can't run it with just one or two players.
